Printed Circuit Board Design

Purpose

The objective of this project was to design a detailed and functional Printed Circuit Board (PCB) using SolidWorks. The aim was to utilize advanced modeling techniques to create a realistic and manufacturable PCB model, emphasizing the importance of planning and organizing design elements.

Overview

The design process began with creating initial sketches to outline the PCB's layout. Features were extruded to form the board's base structure, followed by adding precise holes and slots for component placement. Advanced modeling techniques, such as mirroring and patterning entities, were employed to ensure symmetry and efficiency in the design. Each step was meticulously planned to streamline the modeling workflow and maintain accuracy in the final product.

Results

The final PCB model was a detailed and functional representation, showcasing the comprehensive design capabilities of SolidWorks. The project highlighted the importance of strategic planning and organization in the design process, resulting in a professional and realistic PCB model ready for manufacturing. The use of advanced features such as mirroring and patterning demonstrated SolidWorks' ability to handle complex designs efficiently.
