Drawer Box Design and Assembly

Purpose

The purpose of this project was to design and assemble a simple wooden drawer box using SolidWorks. This project demonstrated the creation of various parts and their assembly into a complete product, focusing on configurations to manage different sizes of the drawer.

Overview

The drawer box was modeled as an assembly consisting of five parts: the base, two sides, the front, and the back. Each part was created with specific dimensions and then assembled to form the complete drawer. Configurations were used to easily manage different sizes of the drawer within a single part file.

Results

The design and assembly of the drawer box demonstrated efficient use of SolidWorks features, such as sketching, extruding, and using configurations. The configurations allowed easy adjustments of drawer sizes, showing the versatility and efficiency of the design. The simulation and analysis ensured that the drawer box was structurally sound and functioned correctly under expected load conditions.
